BJP president Amit Shah has emphasised the need of giving appropriate education of Indian Freedom struggle to Youth of the country. <br/><br/>Unveiling the "Veer Savarkar Jyot" at National Memorial – Cellular Jail at Port Blair today, Mr Shah said, the vocabulary used by the British Empire during their regime in the country should be removed from the History. <br/><br/>Remembering the sacrifices of Veer Sarvarkar, he said, the great revolutionary lived and died for the motherland. Mr Shah called upon the countrymen to visit Port Blair as pilgrimage at least once in a life and pay tribute to the great fighter, thinker and social reformer Veer Savarkar. <br/><br/>The programme was attended by Mr Dharmendra Pradhan, Union State Mister for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Member of Parliament from mainland and senior leaders of Bhartiya Janata Party. <br/><br/>The Lt. Governor, Andaman and Nicobar Islands Lt. Gen. A. K. Singh, Member of Parliament Bishnu Pada Ray also highlighted the struggle of Veer Savarkar for freedom of motherland.<br/><br/><br/>Later in the evening, Mr. Amit Shah addressed a public meeting at Junglighat School Ground, organized by State BJP Unit. Tomorrow he will visit Havelock Island.
