Amit Shah rules out resumption of Indo-Pak bilateral cricket ties

Ruling out resumption of bilateral cricket ties between India and Pakistan anytime soon, BJP President Amit Shah yesterday said in Mumbai that the two countries would continue to play against each other in international tournaments. Mr. Shah, who heads the Gujarat Cricket Association, said, a day ahead of the clash between the arch rivals in the Champions Trophy final in England that India and Pakistan will continue to play at international tournaments but neither India plays in Pakistan nor Pakistan plays in India. Mr. Shah, is in Mumbai on a three-day visit that ends today, to strengthen the party organisation in the state.

Amit Shah rules out resumption of Indo-Pak bilateral cricket ties

BJP National President Amit Shah has said, India will be among the top prime countries in the world in 2022 when it is completing 75 years of Independence. Addressing a press conference in Mumbai today, he said, the BJP government has taken several steps to accelerate the pace of growth of Indian economy and to change the mindset of people. <br/><br/>He said, the Narendra Modi led government has implemented many schemes in various sectors successfully. Mr Shah mentioned that not a single case of corruption has come up in the 3 years of BJP government.<br/><br/>He said that day by day, BJP is making its position strong in the country and gaining people's faith. Speaking about Maharashtra's progress, the BJP president said that the Centre has always assisted the state for development of infrastructure and agriculture sector.<br/><br/>When asked about the Presidential candidature, Mr Shah said, BJP will discuss it with Shivsena and all the allies and then take a decision. Mr Shah, who heads the Gujarat Cricket Association, ruled out resumption of bilateral cricket ties between India and Pakistan anytime soon.<br/><br/>The BJP president said, the two countries will continue to play against each other in international tournaments but neither India plays in Pakistan nor Pakistan plays in India. Mr Shah is in Mumbai on three-day visit and will be meeting Shivsena Chief Uddhav Thackray on Sunday.
