BJP National President Amit Shah who has been elected as the member of Rajya Sabha, has resigned as MLA from Gujarat Assembly. Mr. Shah handed over his resignation to the Gujarat Assembly speaker Ramanlal Vora at his residence in Gandhingar today. <br/><br/>Mr. Shah was accompanied by Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel and State BJP president Jitu Vaghani. Earlier, Mr. Shah addressed the State Assembly this morning and highlighted the series of achievements in the state during the BJP rule. <br/><br/>He said, all crucial decisions related to Sardar Sarovar dam have been taken during the BJP rule, while Congress deliberately delayed these decisions. <br/><br/>He said that Gujarat has achieved new height of development during the BJP rule of last 20 years. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his continuous guidance. He said, people of Gujarat will teach a lesson to Congress party in coming assembly elections. Our Ahmedabad correspondent reports that Amit Shah had served as MLA in Gujarat Assembly since last 20 years. <br/><br/>Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel welcomed the farewell speech of Mr Shah and appreciated his contribution to the house.
