BJP President Amit Shah today reiterated NDA government's commitment for the welfare of the SCs, STs, backward classes and poor of the country.<br/><br/>Addressing a function on Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti in New Delhi, Mr. Shah said the Narendra Modi government has taken optimal initiatives as compared to other regime for the upliftment of these classes. <br/><br/>He said the programmes including Startup India Standup India and Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana related to LPG connection are examples of such initiatives. Highlighting the contribution of Maharishi Valmiki who wrote the Ramayana, Mr. Shah said he is an inspiration for all. BJP President also said that harmony is in the culture of India.
