Amit Shah moves Allahabad HC, seeks stay on arrest in connection with violation of model code of conduct & hate speeches

The Bharatiya Janata Party leader Amit Shah today moved to the Allahabad High Court seeking a stay on his arrest on FIRs lodged against him in connection with violation of model code of conduct and hate speeches.

Posting the matter tomorrow for hearing a Division Bench of the court comprising Justices Arun Tandon and Satish Chandra directed the state government to submit CDs of the speeches delivered by Shah at Bijnore and Shamli districts.

In his petition BJP national general secretary Shah has challenged the two FIRs lodged against him by the State government in Bijnore and Shamli districts for his revenge speeches delivered on April 4.
