BJP President Amit Shah has lauded the Central government decision to increase the creamy layer ceiling for the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category to eight lakh rupees per annum from six lakh for reservation in central government jobs.<br/><br/>He said the decision will provide benefits of reservation and government schemes to a large number of people in OBC community.<br/><br/>Talking about the move to set up a Commission to examine sub-categorization of OBCs, Mr. Shah said, it will serve the interest of those who deserve the reservation and government benefits the most. He said the NDA government is committed for the welfare of OBCs in the country.
