Amit Shah hate speech issue: Muzaffarnagar, Bijnore, Shamli DEOs submits reports to UP CEO

In Uttar Pradesh the Districts Election Officers of Muzaffarnagar, Bijnore and Shamli have submitted their reports to the Chief Election officer CEO of the State about the alleged hate speeches of BJP leader Amit shah.

They have also submitted CDs of speeches of Amit Shah to the CEO.

Most of the political parties have demanded to the Commission for actions against Shah including his arrest and ban on his entry in Uttar Pradesh.

Quoting the Commission sources AIR Allahabad Correspondent reports that taking sou motu cognizance of media reports about alleged controversial statements of political leaders of different political parties, the CEO of the state has asked the concerned district poll authorities to send their reports about such incidents of violation of model code of conduct.

An electronic media center have been set up at CEO Office to monitor the media reports.

The Commission has also sought reports about Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav's speech at Mainpuri for his alleged threatening to Shiksha Mitras for casting their votes in favour of the ruling party.

The District poll authorities of Rampur have also been asked to submit their reports about UP Minister Azam Khan threatening the state government officials, who do not co-operate with the ruling party.

Banda District Election Officer has been asked to file his reports about the statement of the State Advocate General, VC Mishra in which he has asked the people to support the ruling party.

All District Election Officers have been directed for videography of campaigning trails of star campaigners of all political parties and their speeches.

The Commission has directed the poll authorities for pursuing zero tolerance against any incidents of violation of model code of conduct by the political parties, candidates and their supporters.
