Bharatiya Janata Party's national president Amit Shah exhorted party cadres in Andhra Pradesh to take upon the responsibility of making party stronger in the State. He reminded them that the people of the country have voted to power a political party with full majority for the first time after a gap of 30 years at the Centre. <br/>Addressing the party cadres at a public meeting under the banner "Development of Andhra Pradesh-BJP's Determination" at Government Arts College in Rajamahendravaram (Rajahmundry) in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh this evening, Mr. Shah said the BJP is moving ahead with its alliance partners in the State.<br/><br/>He said the NDA government at the Centre was aware of its promises besides completing the Polavaram Project in the State and is taking every measure towards fulfilling its assurances. He questioned why the Congress party during its rule has not concentrated on Polavaram project. Condemning the propaganda that the Centre is not doing much to the State post-bifurcation and the delay in the implementation of some provisions in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014, Mr. Shah said during the past one year the Centre has helped Andhra Pradesh to the tune of one lakh 40 thousand crore rupees besides adding seven mandals in AP under Polavaram project.<br/><br/>This was the BJP national president's first meeting in Andhra Pradesh after bifurcation. Union Ministers M. Venkaiah Naidu, JP Nadda, MP and A.P. BJP State president Kambhampati Haribabu, BJP leader D. Purandeswari participated in the programme.
