BJP President Amit Shah has called a meeting of Chief Ministers of party-ruled states in New Delhi on 27th of this month in which issues like better coordination between government and party, promotion of pro-poor initiatives and increasing usage of digital media are likely to figure. <br/><br/>The day-long meeting is also likely to discuss the strategy on the Goods and Services Tax Bill. <br/><br/>During the meeting, Mr. Shah is expected to urge the Chief Ministers to ensure the passage of the 122nd Constitution Amendment Bill in the state assemblies which will pave the way for rolling out of GST. <br/><br/>BJP has its governments in nine states including Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana and it is ruling partners in four states including Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir. <br/><br/>The Constitution Amendment Bill needs to be ratified in 50 per cent of the state assemblies. Mr. Shah has also called the meeting of BJP state core groups on 23rd of August.
