BJP President Amit Shah and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley visited the Apollo Hospital in Chennai this afternoon and inquired about her health. They were joined by Union Minister Pon. <br/><br/>Radha Krishnan and other local BJP leaders. They spent about 25 minutes in the hospital. Later, Mr Amit Shah and Mr Jaitley in their tweets briefly mentioned about their visit and said they wish and pray for her speedy recovery. <br/><br/>This is the highest level visit from the BJP headquarters and the Union Government so far to the hospital to inquire about her health. <br/><br/>The 68-year old AIADMK chief Ms Jayalalithaa is undergoing treatment in the corporate hospital since 22nd last month. Initially it was reported that she was admitted on complaints of fever and dehydration and would recover very soon.<br/><br/> However, later medical bulletins say she requires longer stay in the hospital and is under respiratory support and is being treated for lung decongestion and infection. <br/><br/>Her portfolios have been reallocated to the state finance minister O.Panneerselvam last night. <br/><br/>A Raj Bhavan communique has clarified that she remains the Chief Minister and the reallocation of duties is an interim arrangement till she resumes her duties.
