Mr. Amit Mitra has resigned as Secretary General of Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, FICCI. He submitted his resignation on Tuesday. Mr. Mitra recently defeated CPI (M) veteran and West Bengal Finance Minister Asim Dasgupta by a big margin from the Khardah Assembly constituency. His resignation has been accepted by the FICCI leadership.
