American actress Brittany Murphy, star of Hollywood films such as Clueless and 8 Mile has died. She was 32 and is said to have collapsed at her home in Los Angeles. Reports said that Murphy, who was pronounced dead in hospital, appeared to have died of natural causes. However, the official cause of death may not be determined for some time as toxicology tests are awaited. She is reported to have been found unconscious in the shower. Los Angeles police have begun an investigation into the death.
