In Assam, the four-day long Ambubachi Mela at Kamakhaya temple in Guwahati, concluded today. The doors of the shakti shrine re-opened this morning for the devotees.The doors of the Kamakhaya temple remained closed for the last four days as Goddess Kamakhya is believed to undergo her menstrual cycling during this period.Around 5 lakh devotees from various parts of the world, have gathered at the mela. People in large numbers are queuing up since last night to offer prayer to Goddess Kamakhya. District administration and Kamakhaya Debuttar Board has made all the necessary arrangements so that the devotees can offer prayers peacefully.
