Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni has condoled the death of Gazal Maestro Jagjit Singh. In her message, Mrs Soni said that the untimely death of the Ghazal singer has left a void which will be difficult to fill. She said that Jagjit Singh's unique voice was departure from the prevalent style of Ghazal rendition and instantly became a hit with the masses. She also said, that Jagjit Singh's compositions were lyrical masterpiece and will remain embedded in everybody's minds forever. Mrs Soni prayed that the members of the bereaved family gather strength to overcome the crisis.
