The Amarnath yatra was today suspended from Jammu due to heavy rains en route the cave shrine in south Kashmir Himalayas.According to official sources, the pilgrims were not allowed to proceed to the shrine from the base camp of Bhagwati Nagar in Jammu, as heavy rains had caused slippery conditions on the tracks from Baltal and Pahalgam camps.This is the fourth time that the yatra has been suspended from Jammu, due to bad weather and rains. Nearly 4.30 lakh pilgrims have already paid obeisance at the shrine since the commencement of the yatra on June 30.
