In Uttar Pradesh, in a new turn of event, Samajawadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav today appointed Amar Singh as General Secretary of the party. <br/><br/>In a letter issued today Mulayam Singh expected Amar Singh to serve the Party as its general secretary. AIR correspondent reports that Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh was targeted by several party leaders a few days ago when internal conflict arised in the party.
