Amar Singh admitted to AIIMS, Court to decide bail plea today

Rajya Sabha MP Amar Singh, arrested for his alleged role in 2008 cash-for-vote scam, was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi on Monday night following a rise in creatinine level in his body. Tihar jail spokesman Sunil Gupta said Singh was admitted in the private ward of AIIMS at around 8 pm. A panel of doctors at Tihar jail examined Singh, found his creatinine level high and decided to refer him for admission in AIIMS.Earlier in the day, Tihar jail authorities, quoting a report on his medical status, told a special court in Delhi that health parameters of Singh are stable and normal. Singh is seeking interim bail from a Delhi court on medical ground. The Delhi court will decide about his bail plea today.
