Amar Kant, Srilal Shukla jointly bag Jnanpith for 2009; Chandrasekhar Kambar wins for 2010

Noted Hindi writers Amar Kant and Srilal Shukla have been chosen for the highest literary honour of the country the Jnanpith Award jointly for the year of 2009. Renowned Kannada litterateur Chandrasekhar Kambar won it for the year 2010. Ravindra Kalia editor Jnanpith publication told AIR Lucknow correspondent that an eight member selection committee headed by noted writer and Jnanpith award winner Dr. Sitakant Mahapatra made the selections for the 45th and 46th Jnanpith awards.
