<span style="color: #222222;">Election Commission today said it has always emphasized in its instructions that the State authorities will ensure COVID compliance in the matter of public gatherings during poll campaign.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Commission added that at no occasion, it takes over the task of State Disaster Management Authority for enforcement of COVID-19 instructions.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a statement following the directions and observations of different High Courts on the compliance of COVID guidelines during assembly elections, the poll panel said, it has been regularly interacting with State and UT Chief Secretary, State Health Secretary, and the Chief Electoral Officers to ensure that all COVID-19 measures will be ensured at counting centres on 2nd of next month.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The poll body has already banned victory procession after the counting.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Not more than two persons will be allowed to accompany the winning candidate or their authorized representatives while receiving the certificate of election.&nbsp;</span><br />
