In Chess, five-time world champion Viswanathan Anand suffered his second defeat in the Altibox Norway tournament. The Indian star lost to Anish Giri of Holland in the fourth round at Stavanger. Anand was unseated by Vladimir Kramnik of Russia in the second round. In other games, Levon Aronian of Armenia crushed World champion Magnus Carlsen while America's Hikaru Nakamura defeated Maxime Vachier- Lagrave of France.
