The Law Minister, M. Veerappa Moily today said that Alternative Dispute Resolution, ADR, is the future of Indian Judiciary. He said that ADR provides for cost-effective and quick resolution of disputes adding that traditional methods of adjudication are inadequate and need to change. Mr. Moily said that he will visit Guwahati, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai , the four regions to discuss the problems being faced by the Judiciary in dealing with the burden of ending cases .He said the government is keen that the back-log of pending cases are cleared in the next three years. He was speaking after laying the foundation stone of Phase II of the headquarters of the International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution, ICADR. Earlier replying to question on the demand for caste based census , Mr Moily said that matter is being discussed in the cabinet and hopefully a consensus will soon emerge.<br/> <br/>
