Former Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances Alok Rawat has been appointed as a member of the National Commission for Women, NCW. He is the the first male member in the five member Commission.<br/><br/>Speaking to media, Mr. Rawat said, he feels that the presence of a male member in the commission would provide a better understanding to the women's issues. He said, he will learn the job first, as issues pertaining to women are a bit different from development agenda.
