Alliance govt. is divided on dealing with Naxalism: BJP

The Main opposition party BJP today charged the government that the ruling alliance is divided on dealing with Naxalism which causes a great threat to the internal security of the country. <br/><br/>Initiating a short duration discussion on the Dantewada Massacre issue in the Lok Sabha, BJP leader Mr Yashwant Sinha alleged while the need of the hour was unity of purpose, the ruling alliance is itself divided. <br/><br/>He said when the reports of the resignation of the Home Minister came, the BJP extended full support to the government in its fight against Naxalism. <br/><br/>He also criticized the government for not making a suo moto statement on the issue. <br/><br/>The Home Minister will reply the debate later in the day. <br/><br/>Earlier, the House was adjourned till 12 noon on the issue after the opposition pressed for the suspension of question hour. <br/><br/>The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned on the same issue till 2 PM. <br/><br/>First the House was adjourned till 12, and later till 2 as opposition continued its demand to take up the issue immediately for discussion. <br/><br/>Although the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Mr Prithviraj Chavan assured the members that the Home Minister will make a statement in the House later in the day, the opposition refused to relent. <br/><br/>The two Houses paid glowing tributes to the CRPF personnel who lost their lives in the massacre and stood in silence as a mark of respect.<br/>
