The alliance between BJP and the JD(U) ended in Jharkhand with the letter pulling out and decide to go alone in the Assembly polls. The two parties had been contesting all the elections together in the State ever since the formation of Jharkhand.<br/><br/>The alliance talk between the two partner were on for the past three days in Delhi and reached the dead end on Wednesday when the JD(U) refused to accept the BJP offer of 10 seats whereas JD(U) was demanding 16 seats. The crisis began with the BJP declaring candidates for 59 seats on Tuesday even though the talks had remained inconclusive. The JD(U) released a list of 18 candidates on on Wednesday. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, after protracted negotiations, the Congress managed to strike a deal with Babulal Marandi's Jharkhand Vikas Morcha,JVM, to enter into an alliance for the coming Assembly elections. The JVM has announced nine candidates so far in its first list. The Congress on Wednesday announced the second list of 24 candidates. Prominent among them are, former Union Minister Rameshwar Oraon who will contest from Manika and State Congress President Pradeep K Balmuchu is contesting from Ghatsila seats. With this second list, Congress has announced names of candidates contesting in 50 seats. The five-phase election will be held to the 81-member assembly from the 25th of this month.<br/>
