Alliance between BJP and the JD(U) ends

The alliance between BJP and the JD(U) ended in Jharkhand with the letter pulling out and decide to go alone in the Assembly polls. The two parties had been contesting all the elections together in the State ever since the formation of Jharkhand.<br/><br/>The alliance talk between the two partner were on for the past three days in Delhi and reached the dead end on Wednesday when the JD(U) refused to accept the BJP offer of 10 seats whereas JD(U) was demanding 16 seats. The crisis began with the BJP declaring candidates for 59 seats on Tuesday even though the talks had remained inconclusive. The JD(U) released a list of 18 candidates on on Wednesday. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, after protracted negotiations and countless flip-flop the Congress managed to strike a deal with Babulal Marandi's Jharkhand Vikas Morcha to enter into an alliance for the coming Assembly elections. <br/>
