In Uttar Pradesh ruling BSP MLA Purushottam Naresh Dwivedi named in the alleged rape case of a minor girl surrendered in Banda district on Thursday evening. He was evading arrest after criminal case was lodged against him for the crime. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that police has arrested all three of his associates named in the case. After getting preliminary report from Crime Branch of Crime Investigation Department of state police, government had instructed for lodging criminal cases against the said MLA and his three associates.It was alleged that at the behest of the MLA, district police sent the concerned minor girl to the jail in the false case of theft. But State cabinet secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh has said that allegation of theft against the girl has been found correct in police investigation. Police has recovered mobile phone and some cash from her.
