Counter-terrorism officials in Indonesia say one of the alleged masterminds of the 2002 Bali bombings has been arrested in Pakistan. Indonesia's chief police detective said that Pakistani officials say they have detained Umar Patek. Indonesia has sent a team of officers to verify the identity of the detainee and compare his DNA with samples collected from members of his family in Indonesia. Patek was the alleged coordinator of the 2002 nightclub bombings that killed 202 people. He is on the most wanted terrorist list in several countries, including Australia and the United States. He was detained in a raid on suspects linked to Al Qaeda. There has been no immediate confirmation about the arrest from authorities in Pakistan.
