Alleged IM operative held at Mumbai airport

Maharashtra Anti Terrorism Squad (ATS) today arrested an alleged operative of the Indian Mujahideen (IM) from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. <br/><br/>Officials said that the accused, identified as Zainul Abedin, was arrested after he landed in Mumbai this morning. An officer of ATS said that they had received information that Abedin would be coming to India to visit his native place Bhatkal . <br/><br/>He added that Abedin was involved in the 2011 serial blasts in Mumbai. He was also suspected to have been supplying firearms and other arsenal to IM operatives across the country. He was wanted by the anti terror agencies in several states and the Maharashtra ATS had also issued a Red Corner Notice in his name.
