Allahabad High Court has ordered the Greater Noida authorities to return 589 hectares of land belonging to the farmers from Patwari village within a month. The court said if Greater Noida authorities failed to implement its order within a month, then Chairman and CEO of Greater Noida will face charges under contempt of court.<br/><br/>The High Court order by Justice Ranvijaya Singh came on a contempt case filed by a farmer from Patwari Village. The petitioner said that the court has already given order to authorities for returning their acquired land but the Greater Noida authorities are not complying.<br/><br/>The Uttar Pradesh Government had acquired 589-hectare land of Patwari villages in 2008 and handed it over to the Greater Noida Authority but the farmers appealed in the Allahabad High Court against their land acquisition.
