The Allahabad High Court will take up the hearing of land acquisition cases today. A number of farmers from Gautam Budha Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh had filed petitions last week in high court challenging the hundreds of hectares of land acquired by Uttar Pradesh government specially under emergency clause. Our Allahabad Correspondent reports that it is expected that high court may give judgment or directions in some of the cases today. Earlier on 19 of this month, the Allahabd High Court had quashed the acquisition of 589 hectares land of Patwari village in Greater Noida.Following this, more farmers approached the high court with their petitions. A group of buyers of the land have also filed petitions last week and requested the court to take into consideration their views also.
