The Allahabad High Court has issued notices to state authorities seeking their reply within two weeks on a Public Interest Litigation alleging that a ruling BSP MLA from Allahabad has illegally constructed a college on a land meant for pond.A Division Bench of the court comprising Chief Justice S R Alam and Justice Krishna Murari has also asked MLA Anand Kumar Pandey alias Collector Pandey, to file his reply.He represents Karchhana assembly seat.The petitioner has alleged that Pandey had first got a piece of land where earlier a pond was situated, and illegally transferred it in his name in collusion with revenue department officials.Later the legislator constructed a degree college on the spot.The petitioner has prayed for demolition of the building and restoration of the pond.
