The Allahabad High Court has referred the Land acquisition cases of Greater Noida and Noida to a larger bench of the High Court. After clubbing about 200 petitions from at least 13 villages of these areas including Noida Extension, the bench comprising Justice Amitabh Lala and Justice A K Srivastava took a case of Patwari village and passed this order. The order will be applicable to all the other cases. The Court has fixed 17th August as the next date for the hearing of this case. Our correspondent reports that Greater Noida Authority has initiated fresh negotiations with farmers over compensation issue.
