The Allahabad High Court has quashed the UP government’s order that dispensed with the system of negative marking in the UP Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination 2010 for candidates belonging to SC/ST. <br/><br/>The State government dispensed the negative marking for SC and ST candidates after holding the exam. <br/><br/>The High Court quashed the state government order issued on 6th April, 2010 and the counselling which held on this basis on 11th to 13h April 2010.<br/>The court has also directed holding of fresh counselling for admission to the post graduate course on the basis of result declared before the government’s dispensing negative marking order.<br/><br/>Justice Dileep Gupta who passed this order on Thursday on the petitions by some candidates and observed if the system of negative marking is dispensed after holding exam could not be considered as valid for determination of merit.
