Allahabad HC issues notice to Union and State Home Secys. on a case of murder & abuse of a school girl

The Allahabad High Court has issued notice to five authorities including Uttar Pradesh Home secretary and Union Home secretary on a case of unnatural death of a school girl who was allegedly murdered after physical abuse in Kanpur on 27th September this year.While hearing the writ petition filed by the girl’s mother, the bench comprising Justice Amar Sharan and justice Surendra Singh have issued notices to Uttar Pradesh Home secretary, The DIG Police of kanpur and Station Incharge of a Kalyanpur station of Kanpur to submit the progress report of the investigation. Court has given four weeks time to the authorities.Since applicant has also made a party to CBI and Union Home department regarding her apprehension that state partment and police are not investigating the case properly and she had already sent letters to Union Home Department and CBI rquesting to take this matter under their supervision. But there have been no reply from them the petitioner said.Therefore Court has also issued notices Union Home secretary and CBI also in this matter.The High court has taken serious view on the death of divya, who was class six student in a private school in Kanpur. On 27th September she was bought home unconscious later in hospital declared dead. On post mortem report physical abuse was confirmed but police not able to nab the main culprits as girl’s family alleged, howeve police has arrested four persons in this case so far.
