Allahabad HC dismisses special plea of UP govt on Transfer of police

The Division Bench of Allahabad High Court today dismissed the special plea of Uttar Pradesh government on the issue of Transfer of police personals. The Uttar Pradesh government has filed the special appeal against the Single judge order passed on 7th of May in which he had grated stay on the transfer of about forty thousand police personnel .<br/><br/>Today’s order was passed by Justice R K Agrawal and Justice Abhinav Upadhyay after hearing special plea of state government against the stay order.<br/><br/>About forty thousand police personnel got relief on 7th May, 2010, when Justice shishir Kumar of Allahabad High Court extends stay on transfer order of UP police personnel issued by the police headquarter on the basis of recommendation by police establishment board on April 2010.<br/><br/>Thousands of policemen especially who were posted in their adjacent home districts were affected by this government order.<br/><br/>The two judge bench also observed that the UP government is violating the Supreme Court ruling that The Police Establishment Board should be headed by the Director General (police) but the charge has given to ADG rank officer in the State.
