In Uttar Pradesh, the Allahabad Divisional Commissioner has submitted the preliminary inquiry report on the Pratapgarh Stampede to the government last night. The inquiry report contains finding on the Mangadh Ashram stampede that claimed 63 lives and injured over 100 persons. The government and the police is expected to brief the media today. Our correspondent says that initial reports indicate that the state government has suspended Kunda Kotwali inspector incharge and nine other police officials of Mangarh police post, this has however not been officially confirmed yet.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, visits by political leaders to the stampede site continue while sorrow prevails in Kripaluji Ashram area. BJP leader and former UP chief Minister Rajnath Singh is visiting the accident site, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi had yesterday visited villages and met several families who lost their children and women in Thursday's tragic event.
