In time of the pandemic, members of 'Muktodhara' have shown great social responsibility and grit and became the last hope for many hapless families.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In 2018, Kaberi Sarkar of Siliguri had started the social service with just three ladies with her. Within three years, her association grew bigger and now she has formed a foundation called Muktodhara. Clad in white kurta and a red gamcha or towel around their necks, members of the all women organization have been carrying out the responsibility of performing the last rites of the persons died due to Covid-19 and deserted by their families. The fearless women are rendering the yeoman's service at a time when even relatives have been shying away from cremating bodies, in fear of contracting the Corona virus.</span><br />''  <br />
