Union Minister of State for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy Shri Piyush Goyal has said that by 2019 all villages in the country will be electrified. While addressing the media in Bengaluru on Thursday he said that power to all by 2019 will be achieved with the active co-operation of state governments. <br/><br/>He said that the Centre has suggested to the states with surplus power to sell it at an affordable price to those states which face a shortage . The Union Government will also start allotting separate mine blocks to sate for power projects instead of allotting one to several states. <br/><br/>The remaining eight lakh households in Karnataka will be electrified within 24 months under Deen Dayal Gram Jyoti Yojana.Goyal also said that the centre will support Karnataka in building the largest solar power plant in Asia.
