All stake-holders to be taken along for peaceful reconciliation in J&K: PM

Expressing the hope that his appeal for dialogue will be reciprocated in the same spirit as it was made, the Prime Minister on Thursday said that all the stake holders have to be carried along for a permanent and peaceful reconciliation and development process in Jammu and Kashmir. <br/>Addressing a Press Conference in Srinagar on Thursday, Dr. Manmohan Singh also said that responsibilities of maintaining Law and Order are being increasingly devolved in Jammu and Kashmir. <br/>The Prime Minister said that India is committed to a peaceful resolution of all the problems facing Jammu and Kashmir both with internal and external dimensions. He, however asserted that India will not act under anybody's pressure when he asked about the raking up of Kashmir issue by OIC. <br/>On dialogue with Pakistan, Dr. Manmohan Singh said that Islamabad has to take effective control of the terrorists groups there and create an atmosphere for any talks to move forward and negotiations to be fruitful. <br/>In reply to a question, he said that India is not satisfied with Pakistan’s probe into the 26/11 Mumbai attack and it must take effective steps to bring the perpetrators of the attack to justice. He also dismissed allegations of India’s involvement in Baluchistan as totally false and without any basis. He said that India itself is the victim of the terrorism. <br/>Terming rail projects as successful mode of progress, he said that long standing aspirations of the people have been fulfilled. <br/>In replying to a question on increasing Maoist violence, the Prime Minister said that the Government wants this problem to be tackled in a holistic manner and is taking effective steps in this regard.<br/>Earlier, chairing a high level meeting of economic reconstruction in the state on Wednesday evening, the Prime Minister announced an additional quota of five hundred megawatt of electricity to the state, an additional 350 crore rupees for the rehabilitation of Dal lake dwellers. He said that 40 thousand carpet looms will be replaced with the central financial assistance. <br/>For overcoming the problem of unemployment, Dr. Singh said that volunteers from the state will be recruited on honorarium basis and 8000 seats will be reserved in different ITIs in the country for the students of J&K for developing skills.
