Government is confident that all stadiums for Commonwealth Games will be ready soon. Speaking at the inauguration of Major Dhyanchand Stadium after major renovation works, Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Mr M S Gill today said that though the work started late, it will be completed well before the games. Attributing the success of completion of the project largely to the workers and technicians, Mr Gill said that the stadium will have world class facilities for players, spectators and media. Mr Gill said that while the work of Shooting stadium be completed by April, other stadiums will also come up in the coming months well before the gamesMr Gill also made it clear that India will show zero tolerance to drugs in sports. Spelling out the measures taken by the government to stop drug abuse in sports, he said that the National Drugs Testing Authority with its world class labs and technicians is ready to meet the challenge of curbing this menace from the sports scenario in India.
