With the the UPA and the major opposition party the BJP and the left finally showing the political will , the stage is set for the passage of the women's reservation bill that has been hanging fire the last 14 years.AIR correspondent says that with the split in the JD(U) and AJIT Singh RLD too joining the forces in favour of the Bill , parties like RJD and SP are getting isolated.The historic Bill will be taken up for consideration and passage on Monday , the 100th year of the International Women's Day.DMK, a key ally of the Congress-led UPA, today strongly backed the women's reservation bill.Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President Karunanidhi said issues of sub-quota, raised by opponents of the legislation, could be sorted out later. He said, first 33 per cent reservation for women should be ensured and then a phased implementation of reservation within reservation for women from Muslim community, Scheduled cast, scheduled Tribes can be taken up.
