Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh has said that all round development of the agriculture sector is the priority of the government and it has taken a number of initiatives in this regard. Addressing media in New Delhi Friday on the achievement of his Ministry, Mr Singh said advance research facilities for farm techniques, use of information technology to transfer information, knowledge to the farmers at grass root level and improved crop insurance and finance to the farmers are some of the major steps taken by the Ministry. He said his Ministry has prepared a mission mode scheme to issue soil health cards to all farmers. He also said that government would soon open agricultural universities at different places.
