In Jammu and Kashmir, at Leh district, the three-day annual tourists promotional Sindhu Festival has begun from today on the bank of Indus River near Shey village. Our Leh correspondent reports that thousands of tourists have already arrived at Leh to witness the celebration of this colorful festival.

Our correspondent reports that the celebration of the festival has begun with the hoisting of the national flag by the chief guest. A joint prayer for world peace by the different community religious leaders was also held on the bank of Indus River.

It is being celebrating by the tourism department to promote Ladakh as tourists destination in the country.
