<span style="color: #222222;">All preparations are in place for counting of votes for assembly elections in Mizoram on Monday. Counting of votes will be held in 40 counting halls spread across 13 locations. Polling for 40 Assembly seats of the State was held on November 7 in 1267 polling stations with a record of over 80 per cent voting.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Electoral Officer Mandhup Vyas said that all preparations for counting of votes have been completed. Counting will take place under tight security with the deployment of 10 companies of Central Armed Police Forces and State police.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">&nbsp;</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In this election, the ruling Mizo National Front MNF), Indian National Congress (INC) and Zoram People's Movement (ZPM) fielded candidates in all 40 seats while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is contesting in 23 Assembly segments. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) is contesting for the first time by fielding candidates in four Assembly constituencies while there are 27 Independent candidates in the electoral battle.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The fate of 174 candidates will be known tomorrow when counting of votes takes place in all the 11 District Headquarters. Some of the prominent faces whose electoral fortune will be decided are Chief Minister and MNF President Zoramthanga, Deputy Chief Minister Tawnluia, Rajya Sabha MP K Vanlalvena, Chief Ministerial candidate of the Zoram People's Movement Lalduhawma, President of State Congress Lalsawta, President of BJP Mizoram Vanlalhmuaka and state President of Aam Aadmi Party Andrew Lalremkima. There are 7 Assembly constituencies which will have a maximum of 5 rounds of counting while there are 3 constituencies which will go for 2 rounds of counting. Postal ballots will be counted first from 8 AM".</span><br />
