The Congress has said that everyone should have faith in the judiciary of the country and welcomed the judgement of the Allahabad High Court. Party General Secretary Janardhan Dwivedi said, if any person, party or organisation has any reservation about it, the way to Supreme Court is open. He said, the judgement should not be seen as a victory or defeat of anyone. He said that nobody should be provoked or vitiate the atmosphere as this will be against the country. He said, there are moments in the life of an individual, society and the nation where once wisdom patience, tolerance and reasoning are judged.The RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said the verdit should not be seen as anybody's victory or defeat. He appealed for restraint.While appealing for peace, CPI leader Atul Anjan said the issue should be resolved through legal recourse if anyone has any grievance. Reacting on the judgement he said that all of us should work in a spirit of harmony.The BJP will give its official reaction only after its core committee meeting on the judgement is over.Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati said that the entire responsibility of the implementation of High Court order in Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid issue lies with the Centre. She said that State government has written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on implementation of the High Court order. She also called on every one to maintain peace and harmony.Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi expressed the hope that that the judgement will act as catalyic agent for the unity of the country. Anjuman Committee of Ajmer Dargah has appreciated the Allahabad High Court's verdict over Ayodhya issue. After the verdict, today people of both the communities assembled at Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Hasan Chisti. Secretary of Anjuman Committee, Mehmood Al Hasan said that the decision is historic and they will respect it. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister has made an ernest appeal to all sections of people to maintain peace and calm and show respect for all religions and religious beliefs in the highest tradition of Indian culture. In a statement after a high-level meeting held at his residence, Dr. Manmohan Singh expressed the hope that the response of the people to the judgement will be respectful, dignified and do the country proud. He said that the government on its part is fully committed to upholding the rule of law and maintaining peace, order and harmony. While expressing confidence in the traditions of secularism, brotherhood and tolerance of the country, the Prime Minister said that often it is only a few mischief makers who create divisions in the society. He said that the countrymen need to be vigilant and not let such people succeed in disrupting peace and harmony. Dr. Manmohan Singh said that people should particularly careful with regard to rumours that disruptive elements could propagate to create ill will between the communities. He said, the orders delivered by the three Honourable Judges of the Allahabad High Court need to be examined carefully. The High Court has granted leave to appeal to the Supreme Court and the correct conclusion, at this stage, is that the status quo will be maintained until the cases are taken up by the Apex Court.The meeting was attended by the Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Defence Minister A.K. Antony, the Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee and the Law Minister Veerappa Moily among others.Meanwhile, senior BJP leader L.K. Advani says, the party believes that the Ayodhya verdict opens a new chapter for national integration and a new era on inter-community relations. He claimed that judgement is a significant step towards building of a grand temple. He said this in a statement after a meeting of the top brass of the party in New Delhi this evening.
