All political parties in Bihar have appealed to Maoists to free three captive policemen with Chief Minster Nitish Kumar again offerring safe passage to Naxals coming forward for talks. The decision to make the appeal was made at an all party meeting held in Patna today. The Congress, LJP, RJD, BJP, JD(U), BSP and the Left parties participated in the meeting. After the all party meeting, the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar again asked naxals to come forward for talks assuring them safe passage. The Maoists responded with their spokesperson Avinash saying that the government proposal has been accepted. He said it will be discussed in core committee of naxals and thereafter an action will be taken. Earlier, he said the three policemen abducted by the rebels are safe. He demanded the Bihar government to immediately halt operations and call for talks. Meanwhile, Bihar Police nabbed two Maoist leaders linked to the abduction of policemen in Lakhisarai district. AIR Patna Correspondent reports that security forces have further intensified search and rescue operations to find out securitymen being held hostage by the Maoists since Sunday.
