Minister for Road, Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari today said that the government will clear all pending road and other infrastructure projects by 15th of August. Speaking during Indian Public Private Partnership (PPP) Summit 2014 at FICCI in New Delhi, he said that Government is in favour of promoting the PPP model but the business community should maintain transparency in transacting business. He also said that need of the hour is to clear the infrastructure projects in a time-bound manner to reduce the escalating cost of projects. In a stern message to the industry, he said that without getting 80 percent land acquisition clearance, the Government will not open tender for any project in future. while addressing the business community, he also emphasized on a low cost investment to maintain economic viability of projects. Mr. Gadkari also said the Government will launch Detailed Project Report bank, DPR on 9th of next Month to get new ideas from industry.
