The West Bengal Government has called another round of all-party meeting in Kolkata on Friday to discuss the renaming of the state. The Chief Minister Ms. Mamta Banerjee will preside over the meeting. The first all party meeting which was held on the 10th of this month, decided to set up a Committee comprising the Parliamentary Affairs Minister Partho Chatterjee and Opposition Leader Dr. Suryakanta Mishra to take suggestions on the issue from different circles. The all-party meeting slated for Friday, will discuss all these suggestions on the new name of the state. The political parties having representation in the state Assembly, will attend the meeting. The all-party meeting is also likely to discuss bifurcation of some districts of the state.
