A meeting of major political parties from Andhra Pradesh will be held in New Delhi today to discuss Telangana issue. Hectic consultations were held in the national capital on Monday involving the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and his cabinet colleagues on the eve of the conference. The Prime Minister discussed the issue with senior colleagues Pranab Mukherjee, P Chidambaram, A K Antony and Veerappa Moily on the strategy for the meeting convened by the Home Minister.<br/>The meeting, expected to devise a mechanism and roadmap to resolve the vexed Telangana issue, will be attended by Congress, TDP, TRS, Praja Rajyam, CPI (M), CPI, BJP and MIM – the eight registered political parties in Andhra Pradesh.<br/>Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah, who arrived in New Delhi to participate in the meeting, met Mr Chidambaram and followed it up with another meeting with the Prime Minister. TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao demanded an immediate Parliament law to facilitate formation of a separate Telangana state. <br/>AIR correspondent reports that normal life was disrupted on Monday in coastal and Rayalaseema regions due to bandh by joint action committee in support of united Andhra Pradesh. <br/>
