In Assam, an all party delegation will visit Bijni and Dhubri today as part of confidence building measures. The delegation of ten parties will meet various civil society organisations and inmates who are staying in relief camps. Yesterday, a group of ministers visited Choudhuri para area in Chirang district where unidentified miscreants killed five persons. AIR correspondent reports that indefinite curfew continued in Chirang district as a precautionary measure though no untoward incident has been reported during the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister R Ashoka visited Imphal as a good will mission yesterday afternoon to instill confidence of safety and security of North-East people including students in the state. Speaking to mediapersons at Imphal, Mr. Ashoka said, state government has taken up adequate measures for safety and security of North-East people in the state.
